Bali Dental Journal (BDJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in all fields of dentistry and oral health sciences. Published by the Program Studi Sarjana Kedokteran Gigi dan Program Studi Profesi Dokter Gigi, Universitas Udayana, Bali, Indonesia, BDJ aims to disseminate high-quality original research, clinical evidence, and scientific innovations to dental professionals, researchers, educators, and policymakers worldwide. The journal publishes articles that bring new knowledge, new observations, new techniques, new diagnostic methods, and new treatment modalities that advance the field of dentistry.

Oral Biology
Biological processes of the oral cavity including saliva, mucosal immunity, cell biology, and molecular mechanisms underlying oral health and disease.
Oral Anatomy & Histology
Morphology, microscopic structure, and development of teeth, periodontium, oral mucosa, salivary glands, jaw bones, and associated orofacial structures.
Oral Physiology
Functional aspects of the oral and maxillofacial system including mastication, swallowing, salivary secretion, taste sensation, and temporomandibular joint function.
Oral Pathology
Etiology, pathogenesis, morphology, and diagnosis of diseases affecting the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaws, and adjacent structures, including neoplastic and non-neoplastic lesions.
Oral Microbiology
Microbial ecology of the oral cavity including the oral microbiome, dental plaque biofilm, cariogenic and periodontopathic microorganisms, and antimicrobial resistance.
Oral Biochemistry
Biochemical composition and metabolism of dental hard tissues, saliva, and oral fluids; enzyme activity, mineral homeostasis, and molecular biology relevant to oral diseases.
Dental Materials Science
Properties, biocompatibility, and clinical performance of dental materials including composites, ceramics, adhesives, biomaterials for bone regeneration, and novel nanomaterials.
Dental Pharmacology
Pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and clinical use of drugs in dentistry including analgesics, antibiotics, antiseptics, local anesthetics, and drug interactions in dental patients.
Oral Immunology & Genetics
Immune responses in the oral cavity, genetic and epigenetic factors in oral diseases, hereditary dental conditions, craniofacial syndromes, and genomic approaches to oral health.
Clinical Dental Sciences
Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
Direct and indirect restorations, adhesive dentistry, dental caries management, pulp biology, root canal therapy, regenerative endodontics, and vital pulp treatment.
Periodontology
Prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases; periodontal-systemic disease associations; bone regeneration; surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies.
Prosthodontics
Fixed and removable prosthodontics, implant-supported restorations, maxillofacial prosthetics, occlusion, digital dentistry in prosthetic rehabilitation, and CAD/CAM technology.
Orthodontics
Diagnosis and treatment of dental and skeletal malocclusions, craniofacial growth and development, fixed and removable appliances, clear aligner therapy, and dentofacial orthopedics.
